Inspector - Receiving
JOB SUMMARY:

* Inspects or audits mechanical and electrical components such as harnesses and hydraulic manifolds on Raymond trucks.
* Ensures satisfaction of internal customers. Determines consistency in workmanship on all performed activities by adhering to Quality Systems documents.
* Interprets specifications and requirements from engineering and other documents.
* Inspects parts using simple measuring tools to precision equipment such as coordinate measuring machines, Brinnel and Shore hardness testers, gloss meters, go/no-go gauges, optical comparators, and verniers
* Works with Raymond Business Network (RBN) and retrieves documents such as prints per latest revision and deviations.
* Participates in problem-solving at inspection as well as manufacturing and product assembly levels.
* May lift metallic parts and move materials using a forklift.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES / REQUIREMENTS:

* Strong communication skills - clear and concise in both verbal and written communications.
* Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy of data input.
* Computer literate in Microsoft Office.
* Able to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing work assignments and tasks.
* Able to support manufacturing operations on behalf of Inspection as needed.
* Works overtime as required (weekdays and weekends).
* Performs related work as assigned.
Electrical inspection experience is a plus. Requires the ability to read, interpret, and analyze job-related documents, including Engineering documents and Quality Control Checklists. Selected candidate must be able to perform data input into a database. Experience problem-solving in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable. 5S and continuous improvement process experience is a plus.
